ATTENTION RIDERS

IMPORTANT NUMBER PLACEMENT INFORMATION

The numbers MUST be placed properly for the camera to see you. Number placement is crucial to the successful scoring of the event. We will attempt to place all participants, but the camera must see you before we can score you.

Your number must be snug against the jersey. Pin about an inch in from the edge of the number. Pin it through the number, in and out of the jersey, AND back through the number. This will hold the number much flatter and more securely. DO NOT use the number holes. The number will be loose and flap in the wind.

Do not fold or crumple your numbers. In addition to being against the rules, it makes the number much harder for the camera to read. Riders with folded / crumpled numbers may, at our discretion, be omitted from the results.

NUMBER PLACEMENT

SIDE NUMBER - goes on your side (think NASCAR doors), either right or left depending on the camera side for that event. Place it parallel to and covering the side panel of your jersey. DO NOT place it high on your back; the camera will not see it. If you have long hair, secure it as it may also obscure the number. If you are wearing a vest or jacket over your number please make every attempt to safely remove if before the finish of your event. If you cannot, please come back to the finish as quickly as possible to give us your number.

BACK NUMBER - If you are issued a second back number it will go directly on the center of your jersey pockets. This number is for officials to see you from behind.

ARM NUMBER - If you are issued a small, secondary number it goes on your sleeve, not up on your back.

FRAME NUMBER - Must go on the frame, not under the saddle- the camera can’t see it behind your legs. Cut it down if it doesn’t fit. Use at least three twist ties to secure it tightly. Use a piece of tape along the bottom to hold the sides together. It is useless if it flaps in the wind or tilts to the side. You must use all numbers issued for the event unless told otherwise by the officials.

IMPORTANT RESULTS INFORMATION

POSTED RESULTS - All results will be posted on-site as soon as possible after each event. Obviously this time will vary depending on the type of event and race schedule. Results will be complete with all finishers. Please be patient, as often multiple fields finish in a short amount of time. If your placing is important for series points or for other reasons it is worth the wait.

PROTEST PERIOD - All protests will be decided onsite, within the prescribed time periods.

There will be no post race-day result changes. It is the riders’ responsibility to check their own results.
